This blog will be used in STL Class, Afterschool recreation and Book Club. My goal is to encourage students to read and write more.

This is currently my 8th school year at PVMS. We moved here from South Dakota. I was born in Freeman, SD and lived in Yankton until we moved here. My parents spend half the year in SD, and go south to Arizona for the winter. The winters are much colder and longer in SD than here in Kansas. My older brother Brian lives in Sioux Falls, SD and sells insurance. I have been married for 15 year, to my husband Bill. We have one child Drew. He is a 6th grader.

The book I'm reading is called Library Mouse By: Daniel Kirk. It's about a mouse who loves to read. Then he decides to write his own book.My favorite part in the book is when it's meet the author day and the author is "in a box" but what actually is in the bax is a mirror that helps the young kids know that they could be an author.Then the kids write they're own books based on Sam's children books.

The book I'm reading is Diary Of A Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.This book is about a kid named Greg Heffley who just entered middle school.He is just an ordinary kid who has a basic middle schoolers life.My favorite part was when Greg and his friend Rowly go trick-or-treating and when they get home greg's dad accidentally splashes water all over them.

The title of the book I am reading is called Accidentally Fabulous by Lisa Papademetriou. My favorite part is when her friends tell her to dress up weird because it was national science day and so the next day did did but none of her friends dressed up like her. Then she get's extra credit for dressing like that and one of her friends get's mad becuase that's not how she planned for it to go. I like this book. I would recomend it to one of my friends because it is very funny and you can relate to some of the situations that happens.

today i was reading diary of a wimpy kid by jeff kinney. this book is about at kid how writes in a diary. and is bouther knows about the most embersing thing that happen over the summer.

The book I'm reading is called Diary of a Wimpy Kid, It's by Jeff Kinney. It's about a kid his name Gregory and his mom making him write a journal (but his mom bought him a diary!)So he writes down what he is doing that day. The section I just read he is in PE class and they're wrestling. He wants to get muscles so he does not have to keep wrestling Fregley. (he wants to move up to a higher weight group.) I would recommand this book for people that REALLY want to have a good laugh!

The book that I read is called The School Carnival from the Black Lagoon by Mike Thaler.My favorite part was when Hubie had to take swimming lessons because he didn't know how to swim.I do like this book.I would recommend this book because it is funny and very interesting by just seeing the cover of the book.

The book im reading its called SNITCH its by Norah McClintock its about this one guy that has lots of problems...He goes in and lives with his older brother.. But his brother's wife dont't like him for the way that he is...So they make him either choose to go an anger management or to go and help train dogs... he chose to go and train dogs cause he didin't want to go and sit down and talk about his proublems...I havnt got that far yet so i havn't found a part that i like... SO far i do like the book and yea i would recommed to a friend cause it could help you think about things that has happened to you and that could help you solve them...

The book that i am currently reading is " Explorers Wanted under the sea" By Simon Chapman. It is about a ship reck caled the SS DESDEMONA. They are teaching me how to dive down up to 50 meters dow into the sea. Also about friendly creatures and Giants. But also also about preditors that can harm me. My mission is to go and find the ship. There was a Huge dimond that was lost in when it sank. But i have still not finished reading it but it is very interesting. ( so far )

The book i am reading is The last payback by James VanOosting. It is about a girl that lost her brother.
Her brorther was playing at a friends house then they found a gun they where playing with it and by acident shot him. I would give it a 5 star.

The book am reading is frindle the author is andrew clements the thing I read about was that he really just likes to liven things up at school and he always had plenty of grat ideas. when nick learns some intresting information about how words are created. yes i like the book because its intresting. yes i wold recomend this book to a friend because its a good book.

The book I read was the bully from the black lagoon.The author name was Mike Thaler.It was about this new kid at there school his name was Butch Pounder some kids say that he is a bully at his old school they say that he was in the football team they also say that he takes kids lunch money.But at the end he was not a bully he was a nice kidstransferred from the state of pennsylvania.He ask a kided named Hubie to help hin were Mrs.Green class.At the end of the story butch and hubie were best friends. im reading aesops fables its a book of poems that teach you lessons i really like the old woman and the physican an old woman looses her eyesight so she hires a physican to cure her eyes and evry day he would take some worthless salve on her eyes and evry day he would take a little bit of furniture from her house and while he thought the salve that he put on her eyes it actully cured her and then the man excited his money but the old woman said no so he took her to court when they asked the woman why she would not pay the man she said he claims to of cured me but i disagree because when i lost my eyesight there was art peaces in it butiful thingsm she said so i am not cured because there is nothing in my home so the moral of the story is
he who plays tricks must be able to take a joke

The book I read was called THE CLASS FROM THE BLACK LAGOON BY MIKE THALER. It was about a teacher who was going to have new students in her class this year. She thinks that they are going to be mean and ugly. She also thinks that they will eat paper and pencils. The kids end up being nice and the first day of school they brought her flowers apples and things like that. I did like this book because its funny and the teacher is crazy. I would recommend this book to my friends because it is funny and weird.

I just got finished the book diary of a wimpy kid: rodrick rules. The book was hilarious.
